After watching water boil -- and my old junker laptop do nothing -- for 24 hours, I went to the boss lady and said, "Quit being cheap and invest a little in your company so it can grow."
Boss lady stewed about it for a while, but then gave in and said I could spend $1,100 out of the business accounts on a new laptop if the computer repair guys said it would cost more than $300 to fix the old junker.
They did, so I did and now have mobility again.
Boss lady, which just happens to also be me, is back to stewing.
Thankfully, I go on vacation in 48 hours....
