Drats! Foiled again....

So my husband found a way around our

little disagreement about what should become of the $50 parking money. Yesterday he called to ask for the ATM pin. I asked why he needed it since we rarely use it to withdraw money, but just to deposit money. He said he was in a rush to get to a meeting and had to pay for parking because the place didn't take credit cards.

While digging around in the black hole that is my purse for the number, I asked why he had his car downtown in the first place since he usually parks it at the train station for free and then makes use of his organization's free car service if he needs to go someplace while working. He mumbled some excuse and said he had to go.

When he got home, he said he got $20 out since he forgot his expense account money. I asked what he did with the change since I know he gets a discount for parking and he's not paying $20 for daily parking. He claimed he's "hanging onto it" for further parking needs. I claimed he was full of you-know-what and told him I'll be watching him like a hawk as far as the "parking" expenses go. Then I claimed the

I guess he could give you back the $20 out of his forgotten expense account money but that might start another conversation you don't want to have.

P.S. How frustrating this must be! Hopefully, it will all work out soon and your DH will get on the same page.

He could do that, Jan, but it's one of those cases where you have to pick and chose your battles. I'm holding out to see how things progress the rest of this month.

    Too funny...

Must be that time of the year. I had my first money argument with my wife since we started budgeting yesterday.

My wife start it. She just got a part time job for 5 hours a week and said "I'll be spending my money on....".

And I said "Oh we have my money and your money?"

    She quickly countered "No."

I said "Our money and your money?"

And ... well ... you know ... it just went downhill. She hasn't kicked me to the guest room, so it must mean I'm right. Smile
I am glad to see your keeping up with your budget and still only using cash.

I agree you have to pick and choose your battles, I would have been annoyed as well but try not to be too hard on him
