Despite predictions that it wouldn't sell, someone bought my husband's brand spankin' new -- and drastically ugly -- jacket on eBay, so I'm adding $13.29 to the challenge. The new total is $1,208.37.

You are making a good effort at changing your mindset about money. Keep it up. One day at a time.

There's a confident writing style and some education behind all of it which makes it intriguing, too;
do you know what you charged and, aside from the stepson's college education, where it is now?
My VISA bill -- hmmmm. It's from last August and I think it went to concert tickets and dining out. Nothing tangible that I remember.
My late husband's: 1400...was 1700$....oh who knows. I have the biggest collection of obsolete software in the universe.
These blogs REALLY make me re-think SO much.

At the time that all this was going on, I wasn't working because I was staying home with my then-infant/toddler daughter I refuse to let anyone else raise. Thus, all the charging.
However, to be fair, I got really, really, really ticked off at the judge and my husband's ex-wife when we had to pay for things like partying disguised as dinner's out at Bennigan's, $100 sunglasses and Rogaine (the adult kid is balding prematurely). So in the height of my anger, I charged a couple really nice vacations and a bunch of stuff for my daughter. Showed them, didn't I.....
